C-Spear Bar & Grill opened in May 2018 and is located on main street in Medicine Bow, WY. Since then, the team has mastered local favorites, french dip, steak, margaritas, and now breakfast. Culinary-trained chef Chris Strauch and co-owner Mary Strauch have built a menu of local favorites fit to satisfy the cravings of families, ranchers, wind farm workers, hunters, and road trippers alike.

About
Established under new local ownership in 2017, The C Spear Bar and Grill, formerly known as the Diplodocus or the Old Dip Bar in Medicine Bow (pop. 245), has the world’s longest jade bar. The 40-foot bar was carved from a 4.5-ton Wyoming jade boulder found near Rock Springs. Pull up a bar stool and enjoy a beer, spirits, or wine.
The murals on the ceiling still stand as a nod to the previous owner Bill Bennett as he painstakingly stood on his 12’ ladder to create depictions of ranches in the area.
Our Chicken Fried Steaks, Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches, and French Dips are crafted from Fresh Roasted Prime Rib. Other favorites include Chipotle Chicken Penne Pasta or Mushroom and Swiss Burger. Be sure to pair your sandwich with specially seasoned fries or golden-fried onion rings. Our menu includes options for kids, appetizers, and individual sides for a lighter fare. Ask about the freshly baked dessert options. Our baker’s pies are out of this world.
